Sweetness overload of sugar and spice and smiles from my kiddos for our Valentine’s Day session. They girls had a lot of fun in their dress up while my son was liking the stickers I bought him (and of course giving me lots of silly faces).

I seriously loved this photo of my daughter playing in the beautiful sun. However, the sky was totally boring and called for something special. So this week I decided to play in the iheartfaces.com texture challenge.

My 4 year old has been taking ballet and tap classes this fall/winter. This week was her dance ‘show’. She was WAY more excited to be wearing this pretty Tutu than to be preforming for us. So of course, like any proud mama, I made her pose for me before the big event.

I love color, especially beautiful vibrant multiple colors all in the same photo. However, Black and White Photography can also be quite stunning.

Its always nice to have an impromptu photo shoot with my kiddos.  It happens seldom but I do love it when I get three happy faces.

It started with Miss E who was willing to me a model for me to test a new set up.

Then Miss V wanted me to take her picture, which these days is certainty a rare occasion.

And finally my big handsome boy joined in on the fun.  I asked him to not smile for a few shots but he looked fairly sad.  So then I tried to teach him how smile with his mouth closed.  He giggled through the session and I wound up with this.

And the best part, I got all three kids’ shots in less than 15 minutes.  That’s all it takes when you have willing and cooperative models.

He’s getting used to my requests of constantly taking pictures of him.  Tonight was no exception.  We had a 20 minute mini-session in the back yard for his seventh birthday.  Yes he’s still a boy and was quite fidgety, but I managed to snap a few good ones worthy of putting in a frame in the house.  Oh and he did manage to get his signature look in at least once.  Can you spot which one that is?

This girlie had a great time getting her entire face painted this weekend.  And what a cutie kitty cat does she make.

Man the time does go fast.  I can’t believe that this week my first born, and only son, turns 7.  He’s such a sweet a loving child with a passion for reading and video games.  He has such a big heart and is so very sensitive.
